Milan Image Art Fair Superstudio Più, via Tortona 27, Milan 13 - 15 May 2011
The creative multi-location Superstudio Più in Milan will host the first edition of MIA Milan Image Art Fair, the first art fair in Italy devoted exclusively to the world of photography and video art. At the base of the project there is a neat novelty that distinguishes MIA from any traditional Italian fair: MIA Fair is an exhibition container for solo exhibits of Italian and international art photographers. Each exhibitor will address the works of one artist in order to offer to the visitor a comprehensive and engaging journey in the project research of each photographer. This choice is based on the awareness of the increasingly decisive and transverse role that photography has achieved among the forms of contemporary art expression. MIA intends to become a catalyst and a indispensable event where all the players and actors in the world of photography, not only professionals but also simple fans, can meet and discuss, starting from the artists/photographers, to the art dealers, the collectors, the publishers, the critics and the press. The fair, which will run for an overall extension of 8,000 square meters, will house 200 exhibitors, between art galleries, artists, photo labs, publishing houses, foundations, archives and specialized schools, among the most qualified in the Italian and international scene. You can find us in stands 16, 21, 22, 27 and 28 with works by Silvia Camporesi, Mario Giacomelli, Frank Horvat, Luigi Ghirri and Lee Friedlander. |
